Connected Social Media Accounts
Joogoos is a social media automation platform. To publish AI-generated content to your accounts on third-party platforms (such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X), you choose to connect those accounts to Joogoos through the platform's standard OAuth authorization flow. This section describes the limited data we collect, store, and use on your behalf when you connect an account.
What we collect for each connected account
- An OAuth access token (and refresh token where the platform issues one), stored encrypted at rest in our database.
- Your account or channel identifier on the platform (for example, your YouTube channel ID, TikTok open_id, Facebook page ID, Instagram user ID, LinkedIn member ID, or X user ID).
- Your account display name on the platform (for example, your YouTube channel name) so we can show you which account you are publishing to.
We never request, see, or store your password for any third-party platform. Authorization happens entirely on the platform's own consent screen.
How we use this data
We use connected-account credentials only to:
- Publish content that you explicitly initiate from inside Joogoos (for example, uploading a video or posting an image to your account).
- Display your connected account name in our app so you can confirm which account a piece of content will be published to.
- Refresh access tokens automatically so your connection does not expire while you are using the Service.
What we do not do
We do not use connected-account data to:
- Serve advertising of any kind, to you or to anyone else.
- Train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
- Read, scrape, or analyze content posted on those accounts beyond what is strictly necessary to publish your own.
- Sell, rent, license, or transfer this data to any third party.
- Allow human review of the data, except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymised so that it can no longer identify you.
Retention and deletion
Encrypted OAuth tokens are stored only while your account is connected. When you click Disconnect in Joogoos, we immediately call the platform's revocation endpoint to invalidate the token and remove our local copy from the database. If a token expires and we cannot refresh it, we mark the connection as needing re-authentication and prompt you to reconnect; we do not retain dead tokens.
YouTube and Google API Services
Joogoos's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information received from YouTube APIs additionally adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
When you connect your YouTube account, we request these scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload— to upload videos and Shorts that you create in Joogoos to your channel.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly— to read your channel ID and channel name once at connection time, so we can display the connected channel and link uploaded videos back to it.
We do not access your video library, watch history, subscriptions, comments, playlists, or any other channel data through the YouTube API.
You can revoke Joogoos's access to your YouTube account at any time by:
- Going to Settings → Connected Accounts in Joogoos and clicking Disconnect, which immediately calls Google's revoke endpoint, or
- Visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing "Joogoos" from the list of apps with access to your account.
Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram)
Joogoos's use of information received through Meta's Facebook and Instagram APIs is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the Meta Platform Terms, the Meta Developer Policies, and Meta's Privacy Policy. We use Meta-provided data only to deliver the connected-account features you explicitly initiate inside Joogoos.
When you connect a Facebook Page, we request these permissions:
pages_show_list— to list the Pages your Facebook account administers so you can pick which one to connect.pages_read_engagement— to read the connected Page's name, follower count, and uploaded photos for display in your Joogoos dashboard and analytics.pages_manage_posts— to publish content (feed posts, Reels and Stories) that you create and explicitly initiate inside Joogoos.business_management— to enumerate Pages that belong to a Business Portfolio you administer, so Pages held by your Meta Business Portfolio are visible during the connect step.
When you connect an Instagram Business or Creator account, we request these permissions through the Instagram Login API:
instagram_business_basic— to read your Instagram username, profile name, and basic counts (followers, follows, media) at connection time and to display the connected handle in Joogoos so you can confirm which account you are about to publish to.instagram_business_content_publish— to publish content (feed posts, Reels and Stories) that you create and explicitly initiate inside Joogoos.
We do not use these permissions to read your private messages, your Page inbox, your followers' data, third-party accounts' data, ad accounts, or any other information beyond what is listed above. We do not use Meta-provided data for advertising, do not sell or transfer it to third parties, and do not use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Access to Meta data is limited to the engineering personnel who maintain the publishing pipeline and only for purposes described in this policy.
You can revoke Joogoos's access to your Facebook or Instagram account at any time by:
- Going to Settings → Connected Accounts in Joogoos and clicking Disconnect, which immediately calls Meta's permissions-removal endpoint (
DELETE /me/permissions) and removes the encrypted OAuth token from our database, or - Facebook: visiting https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools and removing "Joogoos Social" from the list of business integrations, or
- Instagram: visiting https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ and removing the Joogoos-IG entry.
TikTok
When you connect a TikTok account, your use of that connection is also governed by TikTok's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We collect your TikTok open_id, display name, and the OAuth permissions necessary to upload videos and photos you initiate from Joogoos. You can revoke our access from your TikTok settings or by clicking Disconnect inside Joogoos.
When you connect a LinkedIn account, your use of that connection is also governed by LinkedIn's User Agreement and Privacy Policy. We collect your LinkedIn member ID and name, and use them to publish posts you initiate from Joogoos. You can revoke our access from LinkedIn's permitted-services settings or by clicking Disconnect inside Joogoos, which immediately calls LinkedIn's revoke endpoint.
X (formerly Twitter)
When you connect an X account, your use of that connection is also governed by the X Terms of Service and X Privacy Policy. We collect your X user ID and username and use them to publish posts you initiate from Joogoos. You can revoke our access from your X settings or by clicking Disconnect inside Joogoos.
Information Protection
We implement physical, business and technical security measures to safeguard your personal information. OAuth access tokens for connected social media accounts are encrypted at rest and transmitted only over secure channels. In the event of a security breach, we'll notify you so that you can take appropriate protective steps. We only keep your personal information for as long as is needed to do what we collected it for. After that, we destroy it unless required by law.
Other Information
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the services and fulfill the transactions you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and other legitimate and lawful business purposes. Because these needs can vary for different data types in the context of different services, actual retention periods can vary significantly based on criteria such as user expectations or consent, the sensitivity of the data, the availability of automated controls that enable users to delete data, and our legal or contractual obligations.
As part of our normal operations, your information may be stored in computers in other countries outside of your home country. By giving us information, you consent to this kind of information transfer. Irrespective of where your information resides, we'll comply with applicable law and abide by our commitments herein.
We don't want your personal information if you're under 13. Do not provide it to us. If your child is under 13 and you believe your child has provided us with their personal information, please contact us to have such information removed.
